If anyone else is in the same boat (RHEL4), comment this line too (so you 
can 'make install'):

$(LIBTOOL) --mode=install $(INSTALL) -m 755 $(INSTALLSTRIP) 
radsniff$(EXEEXT)  $(R)$(bindir)
