Hi Matt

I'm not sure what your question is then? I had some custom stuff I did with Daloradius and store procedures to make it work for our dsl setup.
Email me and I will dig it up and send it to you. (Its more Daloradius related then freeradius related.

Thank you

Hi,

Yes they have been rebooted. I am also using Daloradius as the front end. This setup has been in for a year or so. So your updates from the LNS are showing up pretty much straight away in terms of how much data has been transferred per user? Im using a MySQL backend to freeradius.

Thanks

Matt

Subject: Freeradius 2 and periodic accounting updates

Hi,

I am running freeradius 2 which is answering radius queries from a Cisco LNS terminating L2TP connections to serve DSL. It doesn't update the accounting info being received from the NAS until the connection either terminates or begins. From what I can see some disconnect all their users periodically to update the accounting info. I found this which works below but it of course changes the start record of when the session begins which is a nightmare trying to see when the connection actually really started.

Is there anything now which updates the accounting information periodically in the database without modifying the start/stop records?

The LNS sends periodic accounting updates to freeradius and ive configured that to every 5 minutes.

Thanks

Matt
