I got it mostly building.

If you add -DXOPEN_SOURCE=600 to CFLAGS and build it without rlm_ldap,
or direct the rlm_ldap configure script to the OpenLDAP client libraries 
it may work.

I got a bit stuck on getting rlm_ldap to work with the Solaris libldap.
It's not hard... just time consuming.
