OK so i installed a CentOS 6.5 machine and used the RPM's from here : http://packages.networkradius.com/centos/6.5/This has worked ! My groups are being read without any issues :) I started a fresh server using CentOS 7, installed the RPM's from the standard CentOS 7 repo's and this does not read the groups, so it looks like an issue with the supplied RPM's from CentOS or some other issue with the OS.I see from the FAQ here that Redhat / CentOS need bugs submitted directly : http://wiki.freeradius.org/guide/Red-Hat-FAQThanks
