  You don’t want two authentications schemes.  The user has one password.  Once you’ve checked that, the user is authenticated.

  What do you *really* want to do?  Be specific.

  What information is stored in SQL?  Why do you need to check it?  What do you plan on doing with the information stored in SQL?
