authenticating against a remote SAMBA

Hi,

Out of curiosity, has anyone managed to authenticate remotely with
MS-CHAPv2 against a remote SAMBA? Or only PAP will do?

I am doing it fine against an a MS AD, however with the SAMBA one, I only
managed to put ntlm_auth working, but not the actual mschap module.
