Ooo, that's weird. Looks like a supplicant issue to me though

I'd like to see a packet capture to see exactly what was happening there, could you send it to me off list.

Also 3.0.9 has (will have) improved debug output for EAP-TLS. Would appreciate it if you could re-run with v3.0.x HEAD.

It may throw up some additional warnings.
