Attributes not being copied to inner tunnel

True on the dev code learning but we are using nice things like if (Attr[*] == ..), some nice changes in ldap for caching group and so on and I'm not sure if the codes has been merged into stable.  Something to try though I guess!

You're probably best not learning on development code...

Does it work on latest stable (3.0.x) code? If so then may be a bug in 3.1. Though most of that code hasn't changed in 5 years.
