  No, it's not.

  The server doesn't lie to you.  If it says the shared secret is wrong, then the shared secret is wrong.

  Just use "radiusd -X".  Please follow the documentation.  There's no need to do "radiusd -Xx" or "radiusd -Xxxxxx"
