We are seeing occasional crashes in our production servers. We recently upgraded them to 3.0.20 (from 3.0.7) thinking that might help.
See the log below from the latest crash. We use Daemontools to restart automatically.

Try using the latest code from GitHub. It already has a patch which should fix this issue. Alan DeKok.
