Lets say i have the following roles: 1. admin 2. tech 3. student 4. simple
Your "roles" would be (sql, ldap, unix, ...) groups in radius. They would have common checks and reply attributes (users file, radgroupcheck/radgroupreply tables, ...).
Group - is a collection of roles. Group1 = role (admin,student) Group2(student,simple)
