Hi i trying to configure Freeradius 3.0.4 with DHCP server with backend on Mysql DB and authorization against MAC adresses. Problem is that this configuration don't work with standart dhclient only with dhcpd5 (in debian 7.6). Maybe I'm missing something but dhcpd is a the server and dhclient is a client. Freeradius can only work with a dhcp server.
Um, nope. FreeRADIUS should be able to work with DHCP clients and relays, it implements quite a few of the DHCP RFCs and has a DHCP protocol encode/decoder. It can even parse out DHCP options from RADIUS attributes :) Anyway OP hasn't provided any debugging from the client, so it's not really possible to see what's going on.
