Question about the architecture

Hello, I'm seeking advice about what the optimal setup is. We have around twenty NAS worldwide that need a central point of monitoring. 1) Should we setup multiple freeradius servers worldwide connecting to a single central database? 2) Or should we setup a single central freeradius server (sitting close to the database) and make all the twenty NAS connect to the central freeradius server instead?
