I'm not totally skilled in systemd and its core dump behaviour. If someone has a tip how to get core dumps from systemd, I'm all ears.
Google-fu suggests trying [Service] LimitCORE=infinity in the .service file. You should be able to test if it's working by doing a kill -SEGV <pid> and make sure you get a coredump.
