Here's an interesting thread that i read in stackoverflow , it mentions that the cipher we put under cipher_list is compared by the OpenSSL against the tls1.2 ciphers(Which might be true,since i am able to add specific tls1.2 ciphers and it works). For tls1.3, they did suggest to use tls_ciphersuites within the eap file. I tried this , freeradius is up and running, but in the debug out, it doesnt mention the cipher details at all. I assume there is no option to set tls1.3 ciphers? or is there any other way to let the OpenSSL know the ciphers we want to use? FreeRADIUS takes the string from "cipher_list", and passes it to OpenSSL. If OpenSSL doesn't like that string, blame OpenSSL.
