Hi everyone, just for the records: Thanks to Aman and Matthew for providing me with potential workarounds (by PM). Aman says:
This has been fixed after beta but the way to go about it is add a "\" before the username. Matthew says: Just to let you know we have also seen this (although we tested with wireless not wired).
We have found that if you put an '@realm' on the end of the username, windows will remove the host\\ from the start.
Interestingly enough, none of these worked. We finally managed to get wpa_supplicant for Windows to run in Windows 7 compatibility mode, authentication was successful then -- but did not trigger a subsequent DHCP request. Could do this manually, of course, but the user at this point realized he needs his machine for work not play and reverted to Windows 7 ...
