Debian re-names the FreeRADIUS binaries to "freeradius". You can find this out by using the Debian package tools to query the package that you installed.
This is done for compatibility with RADIUS servers that aren't maintained, and that no one uses any more.
Alan DeKok. - Thanks Alan, It's broken, I will try to resolve this myself first and post back later. A bit off topic but would you mind telling me which of the package tools, apt or dpkg? as I need to learn to do that stuff on my own. tia build
