I have had ago at turning one off, for instance commenting the PAP sections in the default file(authenticate and authorize). But it will still authenticate pap using radtest. Would there be any other sections in which I would need to edit this? I have noticed in the debug it still opens the module: Module: Instantiating pap

Yes. There's no CHAP configuration, so it doesn't print a CHAP configuration. Alan DeKok.
