Thread create failed: Cannot allocate memory

Hi, I have lived the same problem depicted here. Alan De kok suggested to prevent the thread creation http://lists.cistron.nl/pipermail/freeradius-users/2007-October/msg00257.htm... . Is there another solution for that (maybe changing a sysctl value ) since machine has lots of memory and very less was used.
