For one, you probably don't want to run only one server. If you have 100 users and your RADIUS machine dies, it's not a big deal. If you have a million users, it's much more of a problem. Also, at a million or so users, the load may get significant enough that you could need another machine.
Are you refering to a million of users simultaneously connected to the FR server?
No. RADIUS doesn't work like that. Users do *not* connect to the server. Ever. Alan DeKok.
