This client would prefer a standard distro, but I could see me convincing him to use the packages.networkradius.com repo but maybe not the -devel one. To be perfectly frank, our packages are better and more up to date than the OS distributions. For them, FreeRADIUS is a low priority which they get to if they feel like it. For us, it's what we do.
I understand the desire to stick with an "approved" distribution. But people have to realize that an "approval" by someone who knows nothing about RADIUS or FreeRADIUS is not worth much. If you can get an approval from people who actually know what they're doing, that's worth a lot more.
