freeradius2.1.6 daemon start up problems

Hi All, I'm trying start freeradius process like the following: /usr/local/fnmt/radius2/sbin/radiusd ps -eaf|grep radius root 14524 1 0 06:39 ? 00:00:00 radiusd Is this the correct way start it? Thanks, Rams.
