Yes. But the NAS has to send accounting data. And you need to configure FreeRADIUS to store the data somewhere.

I think you edited the default configuration and broke it.
And Is there a possibility that, suppose a user is authenticated and is logged in on Mikrotik and the RADIUS gets unreachable - is there any chance that the radius asks the NAS to give the user's accounting details.
No. The NAS should retransmit accounting packets until the RADIUS server comes back up. Alan DeKok.
