well, 3.0.3 isnt that up to date but at least you are getting up to the modern world. i would suggest you get another ubuntu 17 box/VM up and running and then simply build your own package....something like this https://wiki.freeradius.org/building/Debian-and-Ubuntu then grab those nice packages and put them onto your production server. et voila, up to date with ALL the latest fixes/features. It's not in the distribution repositories, they are years out of date.
