Hi,
Moving on. Turns out that the problem is in the default "sites-enabled/default" file installed as part of the "make install". There's a stand-alone "reject" at line 160, just after the eap section that was causing the rejects. Any idea why that's there? Is it a bug?
hmmm. yep. that'll certainly be an issue for people. with that default configuration all the stuff after EAP - the commented out unix, sql etc that people can enable, the files, pap etc modules - none of it will work. thats not good, appears to have crept in after 2.2.6 - i know its not a 'security fix' but the 2.2.x release should at least work out of the box for the basic stuff as per docs (eg put user in users file, it works). alan
