proxy problem

Hi, I have configured a proxy server of freeradius, that proxy all the incoming requests to 2 backend freeradius servers.Load balancing and Failover is working great. But problem is that the proxy server is proxying the requests in a serial manner. Thus the time of authenticating a bulk of user is very increasing. Can any body tell me, what's the issue???
