The easiest way to lxc is probably just install Ubuntu 12.04 and follow my mini-howto: http://wiki.1tux.org/wiki/Lxc/Installation If your VPS uses full firtualization (e.g. KVM) or allows you to use your own kernel (e.g. Xen) then it should work. However, if your VPS already uses os-level virtualization (e.g. openvpz) then it won't work. -- Fajar
