I've found on FR Version 2.1.12 that mismatching shared secret errors are not recorded on "regulars logs" (eg /var/log/radius/radius.log) but only when run in mode debug:

yep. likewise unknown clients. its to stop a DoS due to log space exhaustion etc. you can change the behaviour for your own instance with some tweaks to the code. alan
