Dear Alan, Thanks for your fast reply. We know that you do not support cygwin, however we expect to hear some possible reasons which may lead to this parse error apart from cygwin. If you can tell us some possible reasons with your expertise, we can check them and try to figure it out. What would you ask us to check if we face such a problem in a unix environment? (As we mentioned some possible reasons in our previous mail) If we fix these issues, of course we are glad to submit what we have already done to make it work in cygwin environment. Thanks for your support. Kind regards, Sezer On Thu, Jan 31, 2019 at 12:00 AM Alan DeKok <aland@deployingradius.com> wrote:

We are able to build freeradius 3.017 version in cygwin environment.
Which isn't really a supported platform.
When we start radiusd in debug mode (-X) we got a parse error: *# Instantiating module "attr_filter.post-proxy" from file /usr/local/freeradius/etc/raddb/mods-enabled/attr_filter* *Wed Jan 30 22:43:38 2019 : Error: /usr/local/freeradius/etc/raddb/mods-config/attr_filter/post-proxy[103]: Parse error (reply) for entry DEFAULT: Unknown name "Framed-IP-Address"* *Wed Jan 30 22:43:38 2019 : Error: Errors reading /usr/local/freeradius/etc/raddb/mods-config/attr_filter/post-proxy*
When we investigate possible reasons, it seems like it may be arisen when related name is not involved in the dictionaries. We've checked and it seems like "Framed-IP-Address" is involved in the dictionaries included. Secondly, we became suspicious about the configuration file EOLs. We checked it and it seems OK. The lines are ending with "line feed" only as in unix environment.
Ok...
We really appreciate that if you make us find a way to fix this issue.
Sure. Send a patch.
This is Open Source software. You're welcome to submit patches to make it better.
We don't run cygwin, and we have no intention of running cygwin.
Alan DeKok.
