This has been resolved. Using: xxxx_ldflags="-L/path/to/lib -Wl,-rpath=/path/to/lib -labc -lxyz ..." will do it. Be sure to do a 'gmake clean' before running configure. Where the variables contain the needed includes, libraries, etc. The module links fine. However, when running the server, the linker fails to load (find) the needed third party shared libraries.

I've tried setting rpath in ldflags but this doesn't work.

Firstly, what version are you using? 2.xx and 3.00 have different build systems.
