The supplicant is broken.

But then I use a newer wireless NIC, and it works perfectly..

<shrug> If the Windows machine doesn't do EAP right, there's very little you can do to FreeRADIUS to fix the problem.

I have no idea why it is doing that for some of the older drivers, and not all. I looked also for time out periods, and have tried to increase them, but no such luck.

The old drivers are buggy. Stop using them. Alan DeKok.
