Hello freeradius-users, iam seaching for a how to tutorial to upgrade my freeradius server from the version 2.1.12 to 3.0.x. iam using ubuntu 14.04 lts and also tried it with apt-get update & upgrade. But in this case there are nothing new stuff to update for me. How can i do it? Best regards Jonas

In v3, there's a file raddb/README.rst. It describes in detail how to upgrade. Alan DeKok.

start with a brand new vanilla 3.x config and edit it as required. during this process you will find you can clear out a whole load of things and move things to more optimal unlang

if they dont provide 3.x packages then you wont be able to use those tools. you'll need to grab 3.x from another respository or build from source. alan
