iam seaching for a how to tutorial to upgrade my freeradius server from the version 2.1.12 to 3.0.x.

start with a brand new vanilla 3.x config and edit it as required. during this process you will find you can clear out a whole load of things and move things to more optimal unlang

iam using ubuntu 14.04 lts and also tried it with apt-get update & upgrade. But in this case there are nothing new stuff to update for me. How can i do it?

if they dont provide 3.x packages then you wont be able to use those tools. you'll need to grab 3.x from another respository or build from source. alan
