Inner-Tunnel User-Name
In the default inner-tunnel post-auth block there's a config block to inject the real username into the outer Access-Accept, however it doesn't seem to do that on FreeRADIUS 3/3.1: (6) post-auth { (6) update outer.reply { (6) eap_ttls : expand: "%{request:User-Name}" -> '@local.com' (6) eap_ttls : User-Name = "@local.com" (6) } # update outer.reply = noop (6) } # post-auth = noop My understanding is that %{request:User-Name} should have expanded to 'steve@local.com'. Am I misinterpreting what the block does, or is this a bug? Weird. Upon closer inspection, it looks like the problem is the right-hand side of the expression, which I didn't spot. I wonder if it's reading from "outer.request" because it's inside "outer.reply"? Does: update { outer.reply:User-Name := &request:User-Name } ...work?

It's the inner request username that you want in the outer reply. Yes? Be careful when you are doing this. If a remote user is using anonymous identity then they won't be happy (and you are likely to be breaking laws) if you are revealing private info to 3rd parties. CUI is useful in that respect alan -- Sent from my Android device with K-9 Mail. Please excuse my brevity.

A valid concern - fortunately on this occasion, the remote user is written in C, so therefore has no rights :) Adam Bishop gpg: 0x6609D460 Janet, the UK's research and education network. My understanding is that %{request:User-Name} should have expanded to 'steve@local.com'.
Am I misinterpreting what the block does, or is this a bug?
It's a bug. I've pushed a fix. Alan DeKok.
