Hi,
I just made a fresh install of a freeradius server 3.0.4 and i want to test
the ntlm_auth module.

It's a new installation with only 3 changes made:
1) Added ntlm_auth at the begining of the authenticate section of the
default:
authenticate {
        ntlm_auth
        #
        # PAP authentication, when a back-end database listed
        # in the 'authorize' section supplies a password. The
        # password can be clear-text, or encrypted.
        Auth-Type PAP {
                pap
        }

        ........

2) Added ntlm_auth at the begining of the authenticate section of the
inner-tunnel:
authenticate {
        ntlm_auth
        #
        # PAP authentication, when a back-end database listed
        # in the 'authorize' section supplies a password. The
        # password can be clear-text, or encrypted.
        Auth-Type PAP {
                pap
        }

        ........

3) Added a user at the begining of the users file:
user1 Auth-Type := ntlm_auth, NAS-IP-Address == 127.0.0.1,
        Service-Type = Login-User,

When I try to start the radius server the next error is shown:
reading pairlist file /etc/raddb/mods-config/files/authorize
/etc/raddb/mods-config/files/authorize[46]: Parse error (check) for entry
user1: Unknown value 'ntlm_auth' for attribute 'Auth-Type'
Failed reading /etc/raddb/mods-config/files/authorize
/etc/raddb/mods-enabled/files[9]: Instantiation failed for module "files"

I have another server with Freerdius 2.1.12 and there is no problem with
that.
radiusd -X shows the next (with FreeRadius 3.0.4 I not see anything like
this):
radiusd: #### Loading Virtual Servers ####
.........
server { # from file /etc/raddb/radiusd.conf
 modules {
  Module: Creating Auth-Type = ntlm_auth
  Module: Checking authenticate {...} for more modules to load
  Module: Instantiating module "ntlm_auth" from file
/etc/raddb/modules/ntlm_auth
  exec ntlm_auth {

--username=%{mschap:User-Name} --password=%{User-Password}"
        input_pairs = "request"
        shell_escape = yes
  }
........

Best regards,

Rafa
