And Novell helpfully has this article about error 80: https://www.novell.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=7009740 But I also see that you are not connecting to the eDirectory server with LDAPS, which is a requirement for Universal Password, so it's possible the policy refuses to let you have the password, or the Universal Password attribute is not set for the user.
