It means that the realm is handled locally by the RADIUS server.
I had to add "realm LOCAL {}" in my proxy.conf file to make it work.
The "Authentication realm is LOCAL" message doesn't have anything to do with the LOCAL realm.

You should upgrade to 3.0.17. Older versions have known security issues. Alan DeKok.
Hi,
*You should upgrade to 3.0.17. Older versions have known security issues.* 3.0.12 is the last update available for debian 9. Can you, please, recommend me any documentation on how to do it ?

See the Wiki. There is extensive documentation for building custom debian packages. Alan DeKok.
Hi, I followed this documentation <https://wiki.freeradius.org/building/Debian-and-Ubuntu> but it installed an other instance of Freeradius in /etc/freeradius/ while my Debian previous installation is in /etc/freeradius/3.0/. Do i have to reconfigure all my freeradius setup in the configuration files of /etc/freeradius/ ? You should change the path names. Or, re-build the debian package by editing debian/rules and changing: raddbdir = /etc/$(package) to raddbdir = /etc/$(package)/3.0 And that should fix it. Alan DeKok.
