Hi, in attachment patch to add rlm_sql_ocioracle driver to freeradius 2.1.x tree (it seems work yet on 3.x tree). This drivers permit to use function/procedure with CURSOR (through :Ret_Cursor string) like for example: group_membership_query = "begin :Ret_Cursor := \ pkRadius.group_membership_query('%{SQL-User-Name}'); end;" TODO for next release: - add support to oracle connection pool instead of open a new connection for every socket on startup; - enhancement on handle error (through error callback) on do query; - add documentation. Good day, community. 1. I need to organize interaction of freeradius with java-based backend, running as web service. So, I wrote small module, which packed received radius packet into google protocol buffer message and submit one to web service via persistent http connection: https://github.com/rssh/rlm_protobuf Interaction is done via next 'idl': https://github.com/rssh/rlm_protobuf/blob/master/src/vsa.proto freeradius give to service request_reply, then return with allow_reply_request set of actions, which we do need with pairs (add new one or remove or change) I want submit this module to freeradius, when It will be mature, but not sure: will one be generally useful and are you will be happy with 2 new optional dependencies (curl and protobuf-c) [?]. If yes -- I will start submit path requests after achieving working state. (now I assured that requests flow works, but yet not test all possible issues with authorization and service restart) 2. Yet one question for community -- it's about how people prefer to see representation of radius attributes in protocol buffers IDL. In present 'zero' version all nontrivial attributes are stored as array of bytes. In my task this is enough, but potentially such choice can cause issues with byte ordering, so may be better to create special message types for each type of attribute. So, I will be happy to see community opinion: (especially for #define PW_TYPE_ETHERNET and PW_TYPE_IFID) At last, I will be glad to see any feedback about this idea and thanks for great software. I suggest you take them to a Java or Android mailing list. In any case, freeradius-devel is not a general RADIUS discussion list. Need help on Android

Hi, I have been trying to implement a RADIUS client on Android; however, it has been going slow and I am not sure I am using the right path. I'd greatly appreciate any advise or pointers that you could pass along. For the starting point, I have tried a piece of client code I found on coova.org on my Mac ( http://dev.coova.org/svn/cjradius/tags/jradius-1.1.4/example/src/main/java/…) and it works just fine. Then, I migrated JRADIUS to Android. With the same source code, I get exceptions as followed. Thanks for your help. Hi, (switching to devel) (for the benefit of those who don't have the FC16 file at hand, original is attached) ah, that looks like a good start already. Some things of interest maybe: ExecStartPre=/usr/sbin/radiusd -C ExecStart=/usr/sbin/radiusd -d /etc/raddb The config check doesn't explicitly set the config dir, while startup does. if $raddbdir != /etc/raddb, the config check will test a different configuration than what startup uses. On FC, you may simply want to set that in sync (with FR's built-in knowledge where to find raddb, maybe simply leave out the -d on ExecStart?), but for the general distribution, we could include it into the "auto" build system so that all paths are filled in with what is set during configure time. Would affect PIDFile=/var/run/radiusd/radiusd ExecStartPre=-/bin/chown -R radiusd.radiusd /var/run/radiusd ExecStartPre=/usr/sbin/radiusd -C ExecStart=/usr/sbin/radiusd -d /etc/raddb ExecReload=/usr/sbin/radiusd -C All these work on explicit paths. I'm not much into autohell, what I meant is that there should be some kind of "radiusd.service.in" which expands PIDFile=${localstatedir}/run/radiusd/radiusd ExecStartPre=-/bin/chown -R radiusd.radiusd ${localstatedir}/run/radiusd ExecStartPre=/usr/sbin/radiusd -C ExecStart=${sbindir}/radiusd ExecReload=${sbindir}/radiusd -C during "make" to the values that were found out/set during configure. Persistent session caching

Remove with_ntdomain_hack in rlm_mschap?

Does this config option make any sense? Shouldn't it always be on? The only thing it controls is the username to feed into the MS-CHAP challenge generation, and AFAICT from RFC 2759, we should *always* ignore DOM\ for that. Certainly windows does. I found this out today - if you have "with_ntdomain_hack = no", ticking the "Use my windows credentials" box for wired/wireless 802.1x login doesn't work with a default FR config. Perhaps we should remove it for 3.x?

Hi, I am a newbie to FreeRADIUS and I have run into a problem during the setup. I have spent some time on researching for an answer online, but I got no luck. I have described the problem as below. Git repo commits re-done?

Did something happen to the main git repo around July 10th ish? Since then, I'm unable to merge changes into my local "master"; several commits which I've already pulled have changed IDs e.g. commit db07aa6696271293bf42e35acff2c2a7e1baf907 Author: Alan T.
