OS: CentOS 4 FR version: 1.1.2 I've tried to build the latest FR release and found the modules were being linked against the 1.1.0 version of libradius I had installed. After removing all 1.1.0 binaries and libraries, I tried compiling again and am receiving the following errors. I'm having some trouble determining where to fix this, so any patches/suggestions would be appreciated. I can provide more output (or the full output) if it helps with debugging. In the gcc line, if I add "-L/tmp/freeradius-buildroot/usr/local/lib" and run it by hand to build the module, everything works as expected. Probably just a missing $(R) somewhere, but it's been a while since I've had to heavily dive into autoconf/make files. Sorry, set the vars to : -L/alt/dir/to/usr/local/lib Rather than just the path. This was fixed for me by setting: LDFLAGS (before ./configure) RLM_LDFLAGS (when you call make) I made my own makefile one directory up: all: cd ${SRCDIR} && LDFLAGS=/alt/dir/to/usr/local/lib \ ./configure \ (etc....) \ && make \ RLM_LDFLAGS=/alt/dir/to/usr/local/lib Thanks, Ryan

Does freeradius now support sybase ASE 15.0 yet?

FreeRadiusDevel Does freeradius now support sybase ASE 15.0 yet? I am running freeradius1.0.5 on Redhat Enterprise Linux 4.0, with ASE 15.0 now, and lots of problems I an dealing now! Problems occured while I am compling freeradius, compiling module rlm_sql_sybase, it is not very easy to conquer all these problems, but I made it! At last, freeradius has been set up, but while accessing to my ASE15.0 server, an error dumped to my screen: Client Library error: severity(0) number(49) origin(1) layer(1) rlm_sql_sybase(sql_select_query): Unable to send command (ct_send()) What the problem is?

1.1.2 is broken if you have closefrom()

So on Solaris, it's broken. src/include/autoconf.h.in#1.66 needs to be imported to the 1.1 branch. Probably other changes as well. (1.55 is the last change in the 1.1 branch.) It's also interesting that the freeradius closefrom() returns int (unlike solaris which returns void), yet no one uses the return value. I'd suggest just having it return void. I actually wouldn't mind adding some changes to a 1.1.3 release, if this problem warrants a new release. -frank

Dear FreeRadiusDevel I am trying to install freeradius 1.0.5 on my linux server, which running RedHat Enterpise Linux 4.0, and the database is sybase15.0.
