Trying to do EAP-TTLS-PAP with CRYPT passwd in LDAP.. The tunelling seems fine.. but up to comparing the password it will failed. Refer below logs & config Some says (http://felipe-alfaro.org/blog/category/radius/) PAP is tunneled inside EAP-TTLS through EAP-GTC... Calling-Station-ID not sent by pam_radius_auth.

Sleeping until we see a request. As you can see the CallingStationId is empty, also there is no mention of it in the Accounting request packet. If this is not supported by the accounting, is there a way to get it from the authentication section? Would also like to say that I know this is more related to the PAM module and I assume this makes this mail a bit out of context in this mail group, but any help would be most appreciated. Removing tunnel attributes only for specific NAS

Hello, I am trying to implement a Nomadix AG-5000 public NAS in a in a network with an existing FreeRADIUS server. The environment is as follows: - The customer wants nomadix to make public authentication (with captive portal and PAP) for guest users, and employees who cant use the protected wireless network working with WPA-Enterprise authentication. - The employees´ user names and passwords are stored in a LDAP structure. - There is a freeRADIUS v 1.0.5 server which asks that LDAP structure for authentication. So the Nomadix is configured as RADIUS client, connected to the FreeRADIUS server. I have tested the connection with test users stored in freeRADIUS´ users file, and everything worked fine. The problem starts with the Access-Accept RADIUS message. This message includes some tunnel attributes stored in the LDAP, which are necessary for the other networks to work properly. But the Nomadix does not understand those attributes and drops the Access-Accept messages, resulting in a failed authentication. The solution Im thinking about is to remove this tunnel atributes of the Access-Accept message should they be sent to the Nomadix. Ive read about rlm_attr_filter, but I dont know how to configure it to remove tunnel attribures should the Nomadix be acting as the NAS. Freeradius authentication agains Domino

Hi! I have a Domino (6.5.4FP3) ldap which I would like to use as a backend for freeradius. My clients (winxp) uses eap-mschapv2, would it be possible for freeradius to match the password from the domino with the one supplied by the client? If it ain't possible what would it take to achieve it? I'm sorry if the question has been asked too many times, but I can't find a answer on the net or in this list.... Thanks -CP

OK Alan, i`m not advanced freeradius user`s, i`m trying to learn this. I just need help to configure, you can help me ? My freeradius running ok, not show error messages, but not work.... The client (AP) associated in radius, my final client (notebook) associated on AP, but....nothing happens... I search any documents about this, but anyone work. What do you need to help me ? and you can do ? I need this to my job, we are a ISP, and implanting radius, to authenticate clients.... My freeradius client is a windows XP SP2 computer running 802.11 WPA, TKIP, PEAP, EAP-MSCHAP v2 and trying to connect to the linux Fedora Core 2 wireless server. Hi All, 1. When i configure the free-radius to use redundant ldap, the radius server contacts the secondary ldap server first. My config file options are: authorize { ... .... redundant{ ldap_primary ldap_secondary } .. } authenticate { .. .. Auth-Type LDAP { redundant { ldap_primary ldap_secondary } } } #unix eap } ldap ldap_primary { ;; .. } ldap ldap_secondary { .... ... } 2. My users file has : DEFAULT LDAP-Group := "groupname1" some vendor specific attributes follows.. DEFAULT LDAP-Group := "groupname2" ..... Do i need to specify it as ldap_primary-LDAP-Group := "groupname1" ldap_secondary-LDAP-Group := "groupname1" ?? or the previous define itself will work ?? Its very urgent. Hi all i started backing up the db using a crontab job early in the morning which backs up everything, but i have had complains from users who try to logon after the backup process. What is the best way to backup an active database with radiusd waiting for connection? Thank you Sarky

FreeRadius and MySQL boot problem

HI, I have currently setup FreeRadius 1.0.4 with ldap authentication and authorization as well as mysql authorization and its all working fine. My only problem is that when I boot the server (Fedora Core 4) and radiusd starts up there is a rlm_sql_mysql error: Wed Feb 15 18:38:51 2006 : Info: rlm_sql (sql): Trying to (re)connect unconnected handle 4.. But once the server has started and I run "service radiusd restart" from a terminal the connect to the MySQL server works fine and has no problems. I even tried running the service from rc.local but it still fails did anyone have this problem??? is anyone running the MySQL server on another machine???? Is there a fix for this??? thanks diniz
