EAP/TLS TLS_accept error Hi: I want to build a IEEE 802.1x authentication environoment and I have installed freeradius-1.0.2, openssl-0.9.8i, hostpad-0.4.8, wpa_supplicant-0.4.8. The authentication server is built in redhat9 , the database is mysql5 and client is build in linux. I can use EAP/MD5 authentication type and it runs well. When I config EAP/TLS-MD5 type, the client cann't be authenticated. I have referenced many similar ways to resolve it, but I am failed. I list my configuration files and the debug information below. Who can give me some suggestion, Thank your very much for your help ! A. IN FREERADIUS: 1. Using CA.all to generate certificats: /CA.all Get those new files: cert-clt.der cert-clt.p12 cert-clt.pem cert-srv.p12 cert-srv.pem newcert.pem newreq.pem root.der root.p12 root.pem The default protect password is whaterver 2. How to parse the "value" in an accounting message and print the contents In "detail-..." file?

Hello, I am trying to decode accounting message from a device which sends PacketCable Event Messages. These are VSAs and the payload has a custom format. Freeradius dumps the octet string of the length of the message which it cannot decode (due to custom format) I want to dump these specific attributes in the message. How do I go about doing that? I want to dump the output in the "detail-..." file along with the other attributes. I am using freeradius version 1.1.7 (built March 10, 2008) on ubuntu with linux kernel 2.6.26-19 Thank You. -a

I have a problem where I upgraded v1 to v2 of freeradius and now I can only start it with mode radius -X , if I try use script is simply does following. /usr/local/etc/rc.d]# ./rc.radiusd start Starting FreeRADIUS:radiusd: Error: No log destination specified. Radius Any advise?

Logging CDRs into MySQL

Hi, I am facing difficulties in integrating MySQL and FreeRadius for the accounting. I have setup the mysql with a database named 'radius'. I have also defined a table 'rt_cdr1' which is to be used to store the CDRs that come in the accounting request. I add the following statements in radiusd.conf. ----------- accounting{ detail sql } ------ Also in the mysql.conf I have the following : acct_table1="rt_cdr1" acct_table2="rt_cdr1" Is their any other configurations that needs to be done to make the free radius pump the accounting request into databas?..I serarched to no avail . Question about the random file

I'm currently using EAP-TLS with 3072 bit RSA certificates and a 3072 bit DH paramters. Currently I'm using the random file produced by the bootstrap script which appears to take 10 bytes of data from /dev/urandom. Is this sufficient with the larger keysize I am using? Disabling accounting logging (FreeRADIUS 1.1.4)

Hello We're running FreeRADIUS 1.1.4 on OpenBSD 4.0. We've implemented a proprietary RLM that we use to manipulate auth and accounting packets before proxying them to a central RADIUS server. Diskspace on the host running FreeRADIUS is limited in size (deliberately). My question is: is there a way to completely disable accounting logging? I've tried commenting out the entire contents of the accounting section in radiusd.conf (including the 'detail' and 'daily' entries), but this results in accounting responses not being sent by the server (as if an empty accounting section disables handling of accounting responses). I forgot to mention that I'm running FreeRADIUS 2.1.0 on Ubuntu 8.10 (2.1.0+dfsg-0ubuntu2 to be exact). As the original binary didn't come with SSL support, I recompiled it using the Ubuntu source package. The client computer I have been testing run Windows XP SP3.
