problem with radtest + dictionary + Authen::Radius (perl)

Hello, I'm working with Freeradius 2.1.8 and I have created my vendor dictionary. I need to use Authen::Radius (perl). This package needs 'vendor' declaration in every 'ATTRIBUTE' line in vendor dictionaries. Following man RADIUS dictionary file http://freeradius.org/radiusd/man/dictionary.html *ATTRIBUTE name number type [vendor|options]* that is possible. Question about configurable module fail-over

Hello, I have Freeradius 2.1.8. I want to return an error code if my freeradius can't contact with the backend. FreeRadius MYSQL tables

All, I've set up FR2 to log acct data to mysql and that appears to be working. I'm curious about how to enable the logging of specific attributes that are being sent by the NAS. Specifically: rad_recv: Accounting-Request packet from host x.x.x.120 port 51637, id=50, length=95 Acct-Status-Type = Interim-Update Acct-Session-Id = "C2594B9A71DB" Acct-Delay-Time = 0 User-Name = "joe.bobuser" NAS-Identifier = "M20" Juniper-Interactive-Command = "run start shell " NAS-IP-Address = x.x.x.120 +- entering group preacct {...} As you can see in the Accounting-Request packet above There is a NAS-Identifier and a Juniper-Interactive-Command entry. Those attributes are not being logged (nor do I think I'd want them) in my radacct file. Is there a way to have radius automatically populate an accountingactivity table (history file if you will)? Or this there a manual way say in postauth to send those attributes to a mysql table via script when an Accounting-Request packet is received. The above attributes are being sent and are logged in my detail-`date` log file in /var/log/radius/radacct/IP_OF_NAS directory. Thanks, N

rlm_krb5 and Active Directory

I'm having difficulties getting rlm_krb5 to authenticate to Active Directory. The AD server is Windows 2003 R2. The freeradius server is FreeBSD 8.0-RELEASE-p2 with freeradius-2.1.9 and heimdal-1.0.1 installed. The appropriate freeradius heimdal build switches were used when building all this (built using FreeBSD ports). I've got the freeradius service principal setup and I've been able to test it using kinit, klist, etc. This uses, of course, the same keytab that rlm_krb5 is configured to use. How to use CHAP?

Hi, I want to use CHAP for authenticating the user. When I am sending CHAP-Password to FreeRADIUS, I am getting the following error. rlm_sql_log unauthorized host clients

Hi its me again, an other question is, who to log unauthorized clients from nas devices? In the man page only accounting and post-auth is listet for rlm_sql_log. When i do the sql_log in the post_auth only the successful clients where logged. I want to log nas clients authorized and non authorized hosts. Is it possible to do that with sql_log or did i have to use sql? I think sql is the wrong one because i don't want to use mysql as backend for accounts. May i have to write my own module or modify the rlm_sql_log? Thanks in advanced, Jan

Hi, is there a way to convert the %S in a unixtimestamp? I try to use unix_timestamp() but it only prints this string in the sql_relay file. Is there a list of all attributes which i can use in the sql_log? Thanks in advanced, Jan

Proxying inner requests from EAP-TTLS

Hi, I'm currently working on a test setup for a study thesis. The goal is to use wired 802.1X and EAP-TTLS with a local AAA server which proxies the tunneled requests to the appropriate home servers. My problem right now is that I can't get freeradius to proxy the inner requests. The TTLS tunnel is successfully established and the inner request is sent to the virtual server. Freeradius recognizes that the inner request should be proxied but it says that it can't create a new socket. So my question is: Can requests in virtual servers be proxied at all or is there another way to do it? The version of freeradius is 2.1.9.
