Detailed Logging freeradius Request Packets

Hi, I've tried to find a way of detail logging the packets sent by freeradius to the client in the authentication phase but didn't found a way of doing it. Maybe I've not looked correctly so I'm asking if it's actually possible? I was able to log detailed packets sent by the client (Response packets) but not the ones sent by freeradius to the client (except accounting and proxied ones). Thanks for your time. user-group for rejected users

Hello! Let´s suppose the following situations: 1) User exists but the password is wrong 2) User does not exist In both cases the answer is REJECT. It happens that certain hardware is making endless attempts that eventually saturating the server. - It is possible to cause the server, instead of rejecting the users, accept the login but responds ACCEPT with "framed-pool = pool-block" ? or/and - Is there any way to put REJECT users in a given group by default? Freeradius 2 , TTLS/PAP, multiples questions

Hi, I'm trying to configure Freeradius 2 to implement EAP/TTLS-PAP authentication method on my Cisco AP1242. It works but I'd like some precisions to get configuration files as small as possible. What is the shortest way to configure it ? authorize { preprocess auth_log suffix eap { ok = return } files ldap pap } authenticate { Auth-Type PAP { pap } Auth-Type LDAP { ldap } eap } Are the lines correct ? Moreover, I've got trouble to implement few functions. First, what's the right way to implement check for Simultaneous-Use ? For cisco nas type, Freeradius seems to use snmp check but where should I configure SNMP read community in order to make it possible ? Then, during EAP process, is it possible to check if inner identity equal outer identity and if not to reject request ? Finally, I've got problem with NetworkManager under Fedora 9 (not tested on other distribution). If Session resumption / fast reauthentication cache is not enabled, clients can't reassociate and ask for session resumption again. Is there a workaround ? Trying to do EAP-TTLS-PAP with CRYPT passwd in LDAP.. The tunelling seems fine.. but up to comparing the password it will failed. Refer below logs & config Some says (http://felipe-alfaro.org/blog/category/radius/) PAP is tunneled inside EAP-TTLS through EAP-GTC... FreeRADIUS exiting with Signal 11 on FreeBSD

I am running FreeRADIUS 2.1.10 on 64bit FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE-p1 with LDAP auth and accounting records being sent to file and MySQL. I get the following in radius.log: Sun Dec 5 05:14:57 2010 : Info: Exiting normally. and the following in messages: Dec 5 05:14:57 cat kernel: pid 68292 (radiusd), uid 133: exited on signal 11 This has also occurred on two other occasions. I found somone else in the list archives who had a similar sounding problem on FreeBSD but there didn't appear to be an issue. Any suggestions as to what I can do to avoid this problem? test suite simulating NAS for development?

no calling-station-id received

Hey everybody .... I don't seem to get a calling-station-id packet when a username is trying to connect. I'm running gentoo and have the following package versions: net-dialup/ppp-2.4.5-r1 USE="activefilter atm dhcp eap-tls pam radius -gtk -ipv6" 0 kB net-dialup/rp-pppoe-3.10-r1 USE="-X" 0 kB net-dialup/freeradius-2.1.7 USE="mysql pam ssl threads udpfromto -bindist -debug -edirectory (-firebird) -frascend -frxp -kerberos -ldap -postgres -snmp" 0 kB Another problem I seem to have is people using the same pool_key in my radippool table :/ Where should I start digging ? Daily accounting

Hi everyone, I have seen a lot of people who are trying to get traffic accounting collected at regular intervals to generate graphs and view per day/month etc... I have made a few modifications in order to achieve this. You can see it at http://www.netexpertise.eu/en/FreeRadius/DailyAcct.html It works on Mysql setup but can be adapted to any db. I'd be grateful to get some feedback on this. A lot of ISPs are running into this problem. Hope this helps Regards, David
