Read the docs. Really, start from the beginning! In this case, this is the second hurdle ..getting another device to talk to your server. Add that system to your clients.conf file with a correct/matching shared secret. This isn't rocket science but you must read the documentation in the first place! alan -- This smartphone uses free WiFi around the world with eduroam, now that's what I call smart.

Hi All, I am new to radius. eap md5 problem

hi everybody,, I am trying to learn and test EAP. So i started with simple md5. I have defined packets in a file. like following. User-Name=bob Cleartext-Password=hello EAP-Code = Response EAP-Id = 210 EAP-Type-Identity = bob Message-Authenticator = 0x00 and it is repeated around 100 times (to make 100 eap packets). Now I issued the following command to send packets to server. radeapclient -x -f eap.txt 192.168.0.112 auth testing123 ,Now i am facing a major problem, around first 5 to 6 requests are entertained normally, and access-accept is returned. But after some requests a strange behavior is found. When client sends its request to server, a message is shown (rlm_eap: EAP-Message not found), And Access-Reject packet is received from server. But after this the client keep sending Access-Requets (which are actually the response of the challenge) to the server. could you please tell me whts the probelm. Here is some debug output. EAP TLS client

Hi, I have configured freeradius to entertain EAP-TLS requests. And i am using the freeradius certificate (shipped with software). I got stuck at end, now i don't know how to send EAP-TLS request to server. I read man radeapclient, but it only support md5. Could you please tell me how could i send request to server using EAP-TLS authentication method. Thanks in advance

Replace NAS-Identifier with Huntgroup

Hi. I was wondering, is it possible to replace the NAS-Identifier features by playing with Huntgroups? The idea is to have one user which can access in several NAS with customized params, and this is what HG are for. But how to Reject the user, if it has no associated HG? I'm having some troubles in fully understanding HuntGroups, as the wiki pages looks only partial. Failed to load wimax module freeradius 2.1.12

Hi, I hope someone can point me in the right direction here. I am trying to build FR version 2.1.12 with the option "--with-experimental-modules" on Debian Linux Squeeze 2.6.32-5-amd64 because I need to build support for Wimax stuff. However I get the following compiling error(s): === checking openssl/hmac.h usability... no checking openssl/hmac.h presence... no checking for openssl/hmac.h... no configure: WARNING: silently not building rlm_wimax. configure: WARNING: FAILURE: rlm_wimax requires: openssl/hmac.h. configure: creating ./config.status config.status: creating Makefile === and however when I launch FR, this is what I get: === /usr/local/etc/raddb/modules/wimax[92]: Failed to link to module 'rlm_wimax': rlm_wimax.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory /usr/local/etc/raddb/sites-enabled/default[122]: Failed to load module "wimax". /usr/local/etc/raddb/sites-enabled/default[69]: Errors parsing authorize section. === I am trying to build the FreeRadius package version version 2.1.12 from sources from the official tarball from freeradius.org. I know I am missing something but I have looked almost everywhere and can not get a proper clue to this. Regards,

Hi All, First of all, I would like to say that the website is very very useful. I have be able to setup pam_radius_auth with Kerberos, just by following the instructions on the website. Now to my question, does anybody know how to setup radius to it can map user to a local user. For example, user's username is 'test' but on the local machine the user should be logged on but with user (let's say) 'steve'. If it helps, I already have LDAP setup for accounts. So, is there a way to get ldap attribute uid and map it to maybe 'name' etc. Or the other way round..? Any help would be appreciated. Best Regards, Ahmed Sajid. -- Scanned by iCritical.
