I'm having difficulty getting eap-ttls to work for a cambium 450 AP and
SM. As far as I know (I took over this project from someone else), I
have a relatively stock setup (using the cert generated by freeradius,
etc) with few changes to configuration. Initially I tried to get the
cambium equipment working and ran into tls versions issues. It appears
the cambium equipment only works on tls 1.0 (yes I know this is bad). So
I've set the min and max tls versions accordingly. Now I have the
situation where the server gets no response from the eap challenge.
I also have tried the radeapclient and I get the same result. The log
for the radeapclient and freeradius are listed below. Suggestions on
what is wrong?

Hi!
eap configuration:
==================
eap {
...
peap {
...
proxy_tunneled_request_as_eap = no
virtual_server = "proxy-inner-tunnel"
}
}
two proxy/realm:
================
server proxy-inner-tunnel {
authorize {
if (&User-Name && (&User-Name =~ /^.+\@.+$/)) {
update control {
&Proxy-To-Realm := "rCGP"
}
}
elsif (&User-Name && (&User-Name =~ /^host\/.+$/)) {
update control {
&Proxy-To-Realm := "rAD"
}
}
}
...
}
==================
is it possible to use
"proxy_tunneled_request_as_eap = no" for rCGP realm and
"proxy_tunneled_request_as_eap = yes" for rAD realm ?

Hi. I've got freeradius 3.0.3 running on CentOS 7, to allow clients on a
group of Aruba WiFi access points to do WPA Enterprise. The Arubas are
configured to set the VLAN from Tunnel-Private-Group-Id, with VLAN 52 used
as a fallback.
The basics seem to work fine (yaay freeradius!); clients with wrong
usernames and/or passwords (according to /etc/raddb/users) don't get on,
and clients with correct usernames and passwords do. But the VLAN
information I'm trying to pass to the Arubas is either not being passed,
or it's being ignored, and everyone ends up on VLAN 52.
The relevant snippet of /etc/raddb/users is
tom.yates Cleartext-Password := "XXXXXXXXXXXX"
Tunnel-Type = 13,
Tunnel-Medium-Type = 6,
Tunnel-Private-Group-ID = 55
Here's the output of "radiusd -X" while i try to authenticate this user,
and end up on VLAN 52 (instead of VLAN 55, as I'd hoped). If anyone can
shed any light on whether the problem is likely to be the Arubas or my
setup of freeradius, and how I might go about hunting the problem down and
fixing it (or, indeed, if I'm trying to do something structurally foolish)
I'd be grateful.

Hi,
I'm currently using FreeRADIUS and self-signed certificates with
openssl on the same server to authenticate clients with EAP-TLS.
Most of these clients run MS Windows.
The problem I'm facing is how to easily manage deploying the client
certificates.
The custom Certificate Authority has already been deployed with Active
Directory Group Policy.
Each time I want a new client to authenticate I need to manually
import the client certificate in the Windows host via "mmc".
Is there a way to automatically deploy the client certificates (eg.
when a Windows client joins an AD)?
Should I stop using openssl on the FreeRADIUS server and use MS
Certification Authority instead? Will I have compatibility issues if I
do that?
Can I keep using openssl certs but with a non-interactive way of deploying them?
Thanks,
Vieri

Hi everyone, I am facing a problem.
I have deployed a freeradius server version 3.0 with MySQL in Ubuntu (20.04). There are the respective versions of the radius and MySQL:
mysql Ver 8.0.23-0ubuntu0.20.04.1 for Linux on x86_64 ((Ubuntu))
radiusd: FreeRADIUS Version 3.0.20, for host x86_64-pc-linux-gnu
FreeRADIUS Version 3.0.20
My situation is: from a mobile phone I need to connect to an access point and authenticate to that WLAN network (802.11i-WPA-802.1x) using a username and password specified in the radius database.
I would like to know why there is a new table radpostauth. Actually I don't know if this is a new table, but I have a old freeradius server where this specifications: FreeRADIUS Version 2.1.12, for host x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, built on Jul 26 2017 at 15:30:42 and mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.5.49, for debian-linux-gnu (x86_64) using readline 6.3. This server didn't has this table (radpostauth), and for some reason when I installed the new server with freeradius updates and mysql the table Radacct doesn't have any information. Is empty!
I would like to know why this is happening and why I can't receive inserts on Radacct

Hi FreeRADIUS People,
I want to combine AD Authentication with my external script. I know it's
not recommended to use an external script but I have to use that..
In my external script, basically I'm providing the cleartext-password to
FreeRADIUS if the username is correct.
I'm trying to working with two scenarios;
1. Try to authenticate first using the external script, if this script
returns reject, this time try with authentication with the AD.
2. Try to authenticate first using the AD server, if the AD server returns
reject, this time try with the external script.
Thanks in advance,
