I know very little about openser, but I can tell that DIAMETER is not
RADIUS.
FreeRADIUS doesn't do Diameter. Freeradiusclient doesn't do it,
either. So my conclusion is that this problem has nothing to do with
FreeRADIUS.

But have you created similar ATTRIBUTEs for readiusclient-ng's dictionary?
If not, how did you set it up for accounting purpose?
Thanks
Sam

Hi,
I really need help to solve this error. I have been working on it for
few days, and still can't get it working. I am using the following
packages in freebsd(6.2) sip server:
core:radiusclient-ng # ps -auxww | grep openser
root 46008 0.0 0.1 1548 1008 p5 R+ 1:41PM 0:00.00 grep openser
core:radiusclient-ng # pkg_info | grep openser
openser-1.2.2 A very fast and configurable SIP proxy with TLS support
core:radiusclient-ng # pkg_info | grep radius
freeradius-mysql-1.1.7 A free RADIUS server implementation with MySQL support
radiusclient-0.5.6 Client library and basic utilities for Radius authenticated
core:radiusclient-ng # pkg_info | grep proxy
mediaproxy-1.8.2_1 A far-end NAT traversal solution for SER/OpenSER
The problem is after merged the 2 dictionary files (cat
dictionary.sip >> dictionary) and added the following lines in
the radiusclient-ng/dictionary file,
ATTRIBUTE Acct-Status-Type 40 integer
ATTRIBUTE Service-Type 6 integer
ATTRIBUTE Event-Timestamp 55 integer
ATTRIBUTE Acct-Session-Id 44 string
ATTRIBUTE src_leg 1 integer
ATTRIBUTE dst_leg 1 integer
VALUE Acct-Status-Type Start 1
VALUE Acct-Status-Type Stop 2
VALUE Acct-Status-Type Alive 3 # dup
VALUE Acct-Status-Type Interim-Update 3
VALUE Acct-Status-Type Accounting-On 7
VALUE Acct-Status-Type Accounting-Off 8
VALUE Acct-Status-Type Failed 15
VALUE Service-Type Sip-Session 15
Start openser recevied the following error:
ERROR:acc:extra2int: <src_leg> is not a number
ERROR:acc:acc_diam_init: leg info names for DIAMTER must be integer AVP codes
Can anyone please help?
Thanks

I want to setup a Client in my server by only setting his IP, and not caring about the share secret he's using. Is this possible ?

Hi, I'm a newbie on freeradius, I need to send the same attribute to
multiple users how can I do, I'm using freeradius.net 1.1.7 my users
files work this way
user1 User-Password == "pwusr1"
user2 User-Password == "pwusr2"
...
usern User-Password == "pwusrn"
the attribute I need to send is
Filter-Id="some_acl0.in" to any user that radius send access-accept
I want to know the config sintax in order to avoid this:
user1 User-Password == "pwusr1"
Filter-Id="some_acl0.in"
user2 User-Password == "pwusr2"
Filter-Id="some_acl0.in"
...
usern User-Password == "pwusrn"
Filter-Id="some_acl0.in"
May I use the DEFAULT?
Thanks in advance,
Sergio

Hi community,
I keep trying in order to radius authenticate and authorize users from XP. I
have a very simple configuration, only a "plain user". Please bear in mind
that I've just read
http://wiki.freeradius.org/index.php/FreeRADIUS_Wiki:FAQ#PEAP_or_EAP-TLS_Do….
I've put xpextensions file in the same directory that openssl.cnf.
I've imported cacert.pem both Windows XP and Linux too. (Linux is an Ubuntu
7.04)
I feel like a fool because I can't solve this problem being and server so easy
to configure it... I've even read some RFC, but I couldn't find the problem
The Access Point es a Linksys WAP54G.
Please could you help me?

Hi you all,
I've got an LDAP attribute mapped into user-password RADIUS attribute.
This attribute is RSA-ciphered so RADIUS have to deciphered it when it
arrives in order to use it for authentication. The problem arise when I
try to use an RSA key pretty much longer than 1400 bytes, because the
resulting value exceed the 253 bytes RADIUS specification length limit.
My questions are:
Is this size limit mandatory even when this RADIUS attribute is never
put on the wire?
If so, could anybody point a way which allow me to use longer RSA keys?
Thanks in advance. Greetings

I am trying to get free radius to authenticate users with my Novell
server. I know that I am close, but I don't quite have it. I can
see that my access points are sending MAC address to the radius
server as the user name, that MAC is then authenticated through my
users file and passed to Novell. the Mac sent to Novell as the uid
and is then accepted or rejected. I know this, because I created a
user in Novell with my MAC as the user name and the user was
authenticated successfully. I then changed the ldap filter to read:
filter = "(radiusCheckItem=%{Stripped-User-Name:-%{User-Name}})"
and then I placed my MAC address in the radusCheckItem field in
Novell for my Novell record. I can not get authenticated this way, I
receive the following error:
rlm_ldap: performing search in o=dist-155, with filter
(radiusCheckItem=0016cb-b64f93)
rlm_ldap: object not found or got ambiguous search result
rlm_ldap: search failed
I clearly have something missing, or I am confused about something.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hello!
When I run freeradius in debug mode the Access-Reject is sent after the delay time indicated by the reject_delay setting.
When I run freeradius as a daemos, the Access-Reject is delayed too many time when reject_delay > 0. If I set reject_delay to 0 and run as a daemon, there is no delay.
In radiusd.conf I can read:
# reject_delay: When sending an Access-Reject, it can be
# delayed for a few seconds. This may help slow down a DoS
# attack. It also helps to slow down people trying to brute-force
# crack a users password.
#
# Setting this number to 0 means "send rejects immediately"
#
# If this number is set higher than 'cleanup_delay', then the
# rejects will be sent at 'cleanup_delay' time, when the request
# is deleted from the internal cache of requests.
#
# Useful ranges: 1 to 5
I have seen this thread in the mailing-list in 2004 (http://lists.freeradius.org/mailman/htdig/freeradius-users/2004-September/0…) but I find the same problem right now.
I don´t know if the global delayed time is reject_delay + max_session_time. I can´t find max_session_time. Maybe reject_delay + max_request_time ?
I don´t know what can I do:
1. delay_reject = 0
2. small max_request_time
...
Thank you and sorry for my english.
