Unfortunately, it isn't possible to use direct routing on this network. radiusd sending to wrong NAS port

Hello; I installed freeradius v1.1.4 (standard build) to authenticate my Cisco routers. Radius.h defines this: #define PW_AUTH_UDP_PORT 1812 as it should. My Cisco has this: radius-server host 192.168.3.1 auth-port 1812 acct-port 1813 as it should. /etc/services is also 1812. So I run radius x and try to log into the Cisco. My radius server responds like this: rad_recv: Access-Request packet from host 192.168.3.30:1645, id=2, length=88 NAS-IP-Address = 192.168.3.30 NAS-Port = 4 Cisco-NAS-Port = "tty4" NAS-Port-Type = Virtual User-Name = "frank" Calling-Station-Id = "192.168.2.3" User-Password = "xxx" Processing the authorize section of radiusd.conf Login OK: [frank] (from client cisco2514 port 4 cli 192.168.2.3) Sending Access-Accept of id 2 to 192.168.3.30 port 1645 ß--------------????????? Cisco enable authentication on freeradius and mysql

I am trying to authenticate Cisco enable password requests via freeradius (1.1.3.) on a mysql (5.0.26) database. As per http://wiki.freeradius.org/Cisco, the router tries to authenticate user $enab15$ but it doesn't get matched on mysql query because '$' gets escaped to '=24' radius_xlat: '$enab15$' rlm_sql (sql): sql_set_user escaped user --> '$enab15$' radius_xlat: 'SELECT id, UserName, Attribute, Value, op FROM radcheck WHERE Username = '=24enab15=24' ORDER BY id' rlm_sql (sql): Reserving sql socket id: 1 rlm_sql (sql): User $enab15$ not found in radcheck Is there any solution to this? ____________________________________________________________________________________ Have a burning question? Freeradius 1.1.3 and Connectra

I have got my radius server to do port based authentication with PEAP on a cisco 3750 switch. That works no problem. I am trying to get connectra to authenticate with it as well. Every time that I try to authenticate a user in Active Directory I get the following error message. What is different with Connectra vs. PEAP? Thanks for any help you can give me. Because I have a perl script to switch between two different Samba-servers for authorization. I had several problems with this setup because parallel requests cause that the wrong domain is available (The domain-switch wouldn't be blocked for a request). Is there an easier way to do the ntlm_auth with the perl module? Or is there a way to build some kind of dependencies between the mschap module and the perl module? MySQL support in Windows binary of FreeRadius

Hi all, I'm using the precompiled binary of FreeRadius from freeradius.net. Well, I'm happy to say that it works! My last challenge with FreeRadius is getting it to work with MySQL. I don't know if MySQL connectivity is possible with the precompiled Windows version. Can anyone confirm this? Cos I'm not getting very far trying to activate mysql. Basically I uncommented the sql line in line 2017 (under accounting), and the daemon will not run any more. It complains: Error: radiusd.conf[2017] Unknown module "sql" Can anyone comment on this? Thanks.

Algorithm used by FreeRADIUS to choose cipher suite used with EAP-TLS/TTLS

Hi, How does FreeRADIUS's rlm_eap module choose the cipher suite used for EAP-TLS/TTLS sessions? RFC 2246 for TLS states that the client presents the list of ciphersuites supported to the server and the server picks one that it supports. Is there a way to configure FreeRADIUS to only use a specific set of ciphersuites? The goal is that in some cases it may be desireable to restrict incoming clients to use a particular suite. attr_rewrite molude - creating new parameter from the existing one

Hi! Is it possible to implement such functionality with the usage of attr_rewrite module that whenever a packet arives to freeradius module will check if particular parameter exists in a request and if it doesn't, it will try to create it from other set of packet parameters? Maybe it can be done in other way not through the attr_rewrite module. Thanks in advance. -tomasz
