Hi, I am working on RADIUS with LDAP as backend for authenticating users. I configured rlm_ldap on RADIUS server with username and plaintext password and I am able to authenticate RADIUS client using LDAP. But I want to configure RADIUS server with certificates instead of using usernames and passwords. Please guide me how to achieve this,is there any help/doc how to configure LDAP SASL bind for RADIUS Server. Waiting for your inputs. Thanks and Regards, Pramod

DHCP howto

What would need to be done in dhcp setup in order to have radusergroup/radcheck/radreply/radacct-alike behavior? I am trying to make it work with cable equipment (CM,MTA,CPE) but i am not sure how to start. CM and MTA would have static IP addresses (sql prefered because of additional replies: boot-file,dns,gateway etc.) and CPE's would have dynamic IP address assigned. I am willing to do some serious tests and get back with results because if everything works ok i would switch to freeradius from standard ISC dhcpd. Thank you

Hi, I have read on the archives regarding the above issue and that the RADIUS shared secret is an obfuscation method of securing the communications between the NAS and RADIUS Server. One method i have read is by using IPSec but i am asking around if there are other ideas that i may not have thought of. perl examples

Hi, There don't seem to be many examples relating to using perl to access remote databases…. in fact there don't seem to be many perl examples at all. Got example.pl configured a wee bit and running on test server but could do with a better db related example. Unfortunately my perl skills aren't ts good as they could be. In post-auth I want to extract the nas-ip address and calling station-id of the client device open a db connection and perform a query that'll let me decide what vlan-id to send back in the access-accept packet write radius attributes into the access-accept reply Anyone got some form of template I could use for the above? Hello. I successfully run ISC-DHCP server for provisioning modems in an ISP's network, but what I wanted to try is something more modern and with database support. I want to try using Freeradius as DHCP server, but first I want to know if it is possible with these requirements: - Need to deliver fixed IP (or static) according to mac-address. - Need to provide, in addition to the IP, some DHCP options. Option 1 (Subnet mask), Option 3 (Routers), Option 6 (DNS server), Option 15 (Domainname), Option 18 (Extensions path), Option 66 (TFTP server name), Option120 (SIP Servers DHCP Option). - The IP and Options corresponding to each mac-address has to be stored in mysql. I'm trying to post on FR WIKI with an openID account, as I try to log in with my ID I get an "Authentication failed - Insufficient data from authentication provider, name not provided or empty" error. The same happens to me when I try to log in with my GitHub account. Somebody has an idea?

Configured in Section Accounting_stat_query in File dialup.conf the groupname field and value '% {SQL-Group}' according to information obtained on the internet but got no success.
