Hello,
I want to know what will be reloaded by freeradius server on received
SIGHUP signal.
I found this message in archives
http://lists.freeradius.org/pipermail/freeradius-users/2010-November/050062…
Is it still true?
Also I tried rename certificates filepath in eap to wrong value.
After kill -HUP radiusd not stop. But in debug output radiusd print
this
Ready to process requests
Received HUP signal
HUP - Re-reading configuration files
including configuration file /usr/local/etc/raddb/radiusd.conf
including configuration file /usr/local/etc/raddb/proxy.conf
including configuration file /usr/local/etc/raddb/clients.conf
including files in directory /usr/local/etc/raddb/mods-enabled/
including configuration file /usr/local/etc/raddb/mods-enabled/eap
including configuration file /usr/local/etc/raddb/mods-enabled/detail.log
including configuration file /usr/local/etc/raddb/mods-enabled/ntlm_auth
...
So radiusd report what it reread eap config. That probably means what
radiusd know about changed in eap module.

I have a problem with authenticating after a RESTful auth. The response from the rest call seems to be integrating (free radius is expanding the response), but the Cleartext-Password doesn't seem to be carrying forward to the authentication portion.
There are a lot more 'authorize/authenticate' call sets than I expected, but in the end, I expected things to resolve; however, they fail with 'no Cleartext-Password' error message in the MD5 portion.
My goal is simply to have my routers call the Radius server, have the radius server call the the restful server, have the server either fail or return the password (cleartext is not my preference, but it will do for now), and authenticate the user.
I've been spending days on this, and I am very sure it's a simple configuration issue, but I am at a point where I need to yell for help from those far more experienced on this.
I do appreciate any help.
-Robert
PS -- I've included the full debug log:

hi,
A weird thing is that I use LDAP to auenticate Network devices and
SuperMicro Server.
Code talks, see below, SuperMicro presents its NAS IP as 127.0.0.1,while
Network device isn't.
======== SECTION: post-auth =====================
# Ref NO: 1
if (&LDAP-Group == "network-2" && &NAS-IP-Address != "127.0.0.1") {
update reply {
&Service-Type = "NAS-Prompt-User",
&Huawei-Exec-Privilege = "2",
&Login-Service = 50,
}
}
#Ref NO: 2
if (&LDAP-Group == "mgmt-console" && &NAS-IP-Address == "127.0.0.1") {
update reply {
&Attr-26 = 0x483D342C20493D34
}
}
#Ref No: 3
else {
update reply {
&Reply-Message = "%{User-Name} is not allowed to access
%{NAS-IP-Address}."
}
reject
}
===================================================
Apparently if user exists in both network-2 and mgmt-console groups of
LDAP, the trick thing occurs.
First, it's true of Ref No.1, the auth continues, then Ref NO.2 evaluates,
while NAS isn't 127.0.0.1(I'm logging in network device), Ref No.2 isn't
true, it comes to `else` , AKA Ref NO.3, user is denied by network device.
Any way to handle this situation?
I spend the whole day to do this, but no progress made yet.
Thanks.

Hi, All,
I build a LDAP and FreeRadius(Version:3.0.13), and
change mods-available/ldap
with
------------------------------------------
update {
# Radius Dictionary LDAP
control:Password-With-Header += 'userPassword'
control:NT-Password := 'ntPassword'
reply:Reply-Message := 'radiusReplyMessage'
reply:Attr-26 :=
"DepartmentNumber"
-------------------------------------------
Here DepartmentNumber is an attribute of uid=test, cn=users, dc=xxx,dc=com
and its value is 0x483D342C20493D34(the hex-encoding of the "H=4, I=4"
string.)
this part is related to SuperMicro as it needs a speical packet listed here
https://www.supermicro.com/support/faqs/faq.cfm?faq=22374(This is verified
successfully).
The rest part of LDAP is fine. but when I test, something comes up.
======================
(0) ldap: control:Password-With-Header +=
'{SSHA512}5Bz1gQ1mRfhuXY67ecj8XHzrnRzU/X8H0erumBdO1auZ1xTRjH22/Tz+pgC/SpS+x3x0HfVSjqt8AH0vrG5FNk33BWULZfy/'
(0) ldap: WARNING: Failed parsing value "0x483D342C20493D34" for attribute
Vendor-Specific: Must use 'Attr-26 = ...' instead of 'Vendor-Specific = ...'
================================
So I'm confused with it, what's wrong with my conf?
BTW, a similar problem is listed here
http://lists.freeradius.org/pipermail/freeradius-users/2017-November/089771…
Thanks,
-hongquan

allow both /etc/freeradius/users and LDAP authentification : DETAILLED

Hi,
sorry for my first email wich was a bit short.
Here is a new one with what I'd like to achieve, my conf and the server
output.
Thanks to everyone involved in helping me !
:)
1. WHAT I'D LIKE TO ACHIEVE :
I'd like to allow authentification for our visitors by using the USERS
file at the same time.
WHen I add a local user, i receive an EAP/TLS error.
First, I'd like to know if if it's even possible to do so.

Hello,
I'm trying to set up authentication over PEAP-MSCHAPv2. In LDAP I have NTLM-hashed passwords
Version is 3.0.13 from CentOS 7 repository.
Testing with radtest is successful:
Sent Access-Request Id 72 from 0.0.0.0:36799 to 127.0.0.1:1812 length 87
User-Name = "robert_plestenjak"
User-Password = "XXX"
NAS-IP-Address = X.X.X.X

Message-Authenticator = 0x00
Cleartext-Password = "XXX"
Received Access-Accept Id 72 from 127.0.0.1:1812 to 0.0.0.0:0 length 20
When I test with Wifi (Cisco Meraki), it fails:

Hi Team.
My final question to the arbiters of Freeradius Wisdom.
Can anyone recommend a FreeRadius docker image? Something that allows persistent storage of;
Clients.conf
EAP
LDAP
Certs folder
Apologies if this has been addressed many times already.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I'm building a really basic system at the moment and want to implement a basic account expiry in the users file (since that's my user store). I found the Expiration attribute, but there seems to be a documentation mismatch. The FreeRADIUS docs on NetworkRADIUS say the format is one emitted by 'date'. In my instance that is 'Wed Mar 28 15:41:12 UTC 2018'. But that's not accepted. What *is* accepted is a Unix-style epoch timestamp (like tomorrow this time: '1522337946' sans quotes).
Can I get clarification on this? :-)

I need 3.0.16 to allow me to support TLS 1.0 EAP for Centos 7.
I go to the repo referred to on radius and it's not there. How can I get
3.0.16 for centos 7?
Thanks in advance.
