I am wondering if someone could provide links or detail for setting up Freeradius to do Authentication dor DHCP user.
My scenario is like this.
BRAS DHCP Server (Cisco ASR 1000) ---------- L2 Networks -------------- DHCP Relay Agent (Residential Gateway Router) ----------- WIFI or LAN Clients.

Hello list,
I've been trying for some time to connect Freeradius to Google Cloud
Identity LDAP server. I followed their install guide and can successfully
bind. Unfortunately, I get (0) pap: WARNING: No "known good" password found
for the user. Not setting Auth-Type and Access-Reject.
If you give me some pointers I'd be very happy.

Hello!
I am sorry that my English is so bad.
Last time, after I was asked a question with EAP-TTLS + MS-CHAPv2, I
tried my best to troubleshoot
I couldn't solve it at all, so please help.
We are replacing from freeradius v2 to freeradius v3, the settings
will take over the previous contents, and the Wifi authentication
method will not change from EAP-TTLS + MS-CHAPv2
It is a specification and customer request.
In freeradius v2 environment, you can connect with EAP-TTLS +
MS-CHAPv2. In Freeradius v3, you can connect with EAP-TTLS + PAP, but
you cannot connect with MS-CHAPv2.
There is no AD in this environment, everything is done with LDAP, and
the password is stored in LDAP with NT Hash. Mapping has the following
two mappings. (LDAP is OpenLDAP use )

control:User-Password := 'sambaNtPassword'
In the authentication section I am trying to reference LDAP with Auth-Type LDAP

I have a problem , My freeradius Server works with Radtest , with Normal
Home Router but not with UNIFI APs , he is the debug ,

Hi guys,
For data Privacy reasons i cant sotre Mac address of user in mysql tabel, i can hash the users data in RADACCT table there is no problem so we have also RADUSERGROUP table that we store Usernames and Groups in !how can i Hash the user in RADUSERGROUP that Freeradius can detect user and belonging group ?

Hi,
I have a working radiusd.conf which can do EAP-TLS authentication. I am
able to run the FreeRadius server in Ubuntu directly. Now I am trying to
make the FreeRadius server running in Docker and upload it to GCP. However,
with the same radiusd.conf, I got the error "TLS Alert read:fatal:unknow
CA".
In my radiusd.conf, I have something like:

New installation (3.0.19) on Mac OS X 10.14.5. I believe I have
configured it via the Google directions (well, as modified by a post
from a few months back) but I keep getting an Failed setting
connection option certificate_file: Unknown error and ldap won't
instantiate.
Certificate and key are as downloaded from Google, but renamed
ldap-client.crt and ldap-client.key - these are just intended to be
used to connect to the Google SecureLDAP service which we want to use
for authentication on our new WiFi network.
Do I need to make a .pem file with more than just the .crt? It's been
a long time since I last did a freeradius setup and that one was
pre-installed with the Server.app and required only minimal tweaking
to connect to a local OpenDirectory service. Since OD has been all but
abandoned by Apple, trying to move to Google's service...

I'm a newbie in freeradius, I have a production freeradius server connected with ldap directory, currently I'm assigning dns attribute(primary and secondary) in post-auth, the same servers for every user , It works fine but we need now to assign different dns server depending of their group. (O=). We don't know if check it in ldap or using groups in SQL.(radusergroup) , any idea?

We're authenticating our users via AD using a combination of
clients.conf and then a perl script in post-auth. This works fine with
the exception that the device has to be defined in both clients.conf and
the perl script. To avoid the possibility of mistakes I'm trying to
remove this duplication if at all possible. After scouring the official
documentation all afternoon as well as looking at external sources I'm
nowhere closer to knowing how to do this than before.
Ideally I'd like to do something like this:

I'm not attached to "deviceclass" in any literal sense, just using it as
an example of what I'm trying to accomplish. Ideally then the perl
script could do what it normally does, which is to examine the
authenticated request and authorize if the authenticated user is a
member of the requisite group, only it's looking up the device's type
from the original request rather than having to maintain a separate
array of IP addresses which can get out of sync from clients.conf.
One thing I had considered was adding the bogus deviceclass attribute in
clients.conf and just having the perl script read that out of the file,
but then I ran into a stopper: among the many unforgivable bugs the
Supermicro IPMI has in its radius stack is that it _always_ passes
127.0.0.1 as its NAS-IP-Address in the radius request:
(0) perl: &request:NAS-IP-Address = $RAD_REQUEST{'NAS-IP-Address'} ->
'127.0.0.1'
Thus the perl script assumes that any request coming in with that
attribute pair is an IPMI:

Please forgive this digression, but I felt it useful to explain the sort
of Catch-22 situation that I'm in with these IPMI devices. Any help
figuring out how to get a device type set from clients.conf would be
very welcome.
